The second camera is installed monitoring expensive shed contents, i.e. chainsaws, quads, generators, power tools, etc. A third camera may be used to capture fuel theft. Lighting may be used to enhance night vision, this is discussed on the job.
The recorder is often connected to your TV set via the video channel. Operation is simple, the recorder stores information for 1 to 2 months, the disc never needs changing, automatically re-writes, always provides a month of current information.
